Fuzhou Zoo, located at No. 7 Chiqiao Village, Xindian Town, Jin'an District, Fuzhou City, covers an area of 815 mu (approximately 1,000 acres). It primarily undertakes ex-situ wildlife conservation, scientific research, and education in Fuzhou. The zoo boasts lush trees, flowers, and grass, creating a beautiful environment.
Fuzhou Zoo has 16 exhibition halls and areas, housing nearly 1,000 animals from 150 species. Among them, over 20 species are under first-class national protection, including golden monkeys, black leaf monkeys, gibbons, Asian elephants, Chinese alligators, South China tigers, elks, and takins.
The park places precious and quiet-loving animals in the north area based on the terrain and topography, and the remaining animals and animal performances are located in the south area. The marine animal performances with good viewing effects are combined with the entrance area to create a good landscape effect for the entrance.
