Kawaguchiko Asama Shrine in Yamanashi Prefecture has been registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Dedicated to the deity of Mount Fuji, Asama no Okami, the shrine is located in a tranquil area surrounded by numerous Japanese cedar trees. Seven of these cedar trees are over 1,200 years old and are considered sacred. These trees provide shade and a relaxing atmosphere, making the place incredibly beautiful.
To visit the shrine, take the red sightseeing bus from Kawaguchiko Station to the bus stop near the Itchiku Kubota Art Museum. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes, and from the bus stop, you’ll need to walk about 15 minutes to reach the shrine.
🏖️ Environment/Facilities: The area is quiet, clean, and accessible by bus.
