This hotel allows you to experience the history and culture of Hakata while watching the Oiyama Mawaridome of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa parade.
S-PERIA HOTEL Fukuoka Nakasu
The room I stayed in this time was the most affordable and simple.
Despite its affordability,
the spacious room boasts a wood-inspired interior.
The tatami mats and rush grass fragrances create a relaxing Japanese atmosphere.
The bathroom only has a shower,
but if you prefer a long soak,
selecting a room with a bathtub is recommended. 😊
The TV is a smart TV.
With many features, including Netflix and YouTube, it's also recommended for those looking for a relaxing stay.
The history of Fukuoka and Hakata is evident throughout the hotel.
There are also exhibits centered around the Hakata Gion Yamakasa, including Hakata dolls and marbles,
so visitors from other regions should definitely take a look.
Breakfast is a buffet.
The menu allowed guests to enjoy Fukuoka's signature cuisine, including okuyu (simmered cucumber), mentaiko (spicy cod roe), and motsu stew (offal stew).
The nearest subway station to S-PERIA Hotel Fukuoka Nakasu is Nakasu-Kawabata Station.
Just across Showa-dori Street in front of the hotel is Hakata Riverain, meaning you can access public transportation without worrying about rain.
The Nishitetsu Bus stop is also nearby.
Many buses heading to Tenjin, Hakata, Island City, Higashi Ward, Ohori Park, and other areas stop here, so we recommend using the bus in addition to the subway.
The Nakasu area is easily reached by passing through Hakata Riverain.
Event facilities within walking distance include Marine Messe Fukuoka, Fukuoka Sunpalace, Fukuoka International Center, Bayside Place Hakata, and Fukuoka International Terminal.
There are also many food stalls and ramen shops nearby, so even if you can't make it in the daytime, you can still enjoy the Fukuoka atmosphere.
The flagship store of Ishimura Manseido, famous for its White Day marshmallows, is located on the first floor of the hotel.
Please be sure to enjoy some of Fukuoka's local sweets.
For travelers to Fukuoka:
In addition to public transportation, the shared bicycle service "charichari" is a convenient and easy-to-use way to get around Fukuoka City.
There are many bicycle ports (parking areas) throughout the city.
To use it, download the "charichari" app on your mobile phone and register as a member.
Scan the QR code under the bike's saddle with the app's camera to unlock it.
To park, simply park your bike at the port and lock the rear wheel. (Be sure to check the app to confirm that the lock is locked and your rental has ended.)
Regular minicycles cost just 6 yen per minute, and electric-assist bicycles cost just 15 yen per minute, making them very reasonable.
Please check out the app's features and make the most of your time in Fukuoka!
