Fukuoka-Tenjin Central Park, the riverside Yoshino cherry blossoms are in full bloom and picturesque!

The best cherry blossom viewing spot in Fukuoka city is Tenjin Central Park, located in the commercial center. It is only a 3-5 minute walk from Tenjin Station and is very convenient for shopping and cherry blossom viewing.

Tenjin Central Park was built along the Yakuin River. About 50 cherry trees are planted on both sides of the river and in the park. When the cherry blossom season comes, the pink-dyed Yoshino cherry blossoms bloom. Looking from the bridge over the river, the cherry blossoms by the river, coupled with the blue sky and white clouds, are like a painting-like beauty.

During the flower season in April, Tenjin Central Park also holds a cherry blossom festival. Pink lanterns that match the cherry blossoms are hung on the trees, and there are many food stalls and crowds of people coming and going.

However, if you want to have a picnic under the cherry trees, you must make a reservation and pay first. Otherwise, just like us, take a walk along the river bank and take some beautiful photos, it’s completely free.
