🌊|🇯🇵Fukuoka·Yuankou Defense Fortress-Iki no Matsubara|Go to the deserted beach

#FukuokaItinerary

I found a treasure on the seaside. My purpose was to see the sea, so I could go anywhere. I found this place on the map. It was a pleasant surprise. The beach 🌊, torii gate ⛩️, shrine, forest park, cherry blossoms, dining 🍽️... everything is available.

📍|Songyuan of Life
🚇|From [Hakata Station], take the [🔸Airport Line] directly to [Xiashanmen Station], it only takes half an hour and costs 470 yen
🆚It is half the distance of Itoshima Island, and the train goes directly there with many trains.

🌊|【Iki no Matsubara】 is a small beach park that only locals go to. The sea is not as big as that of Itoshima, but it has the advantage of fewer people. The characteristic of this place is that it is half sea and half forest. Large pine trees separate the coastline from the town. Walking step by step from the dim forest to the bright and open sea, your heart is also opened little by little.

🚶|Exit from [Xiashanmen Station], cross the 🚃tram traffic light, pass through Songlin Park, and go directly to the beach. You can see the Torii gate if you walk along the coastline. If you go back, you can see the Iki Shrine. Although it is a very small shrine, it has a lot of cherry blossoms and kapok flowers planted inside.

🎎|【Iki Shrine】According to historical records, the wronged Iki Naomane is enshrined here.
🌲The place name "Iki-no-Matsuhara" near the shrine originated from the legend that when the queen inserted a pine branch upside down to predict victory in the war, the pine branch actually grew luxuriantly. Although the pine tree has withered now, there are still pine trees on the coast that are said to have been propagated by using branches of this pine tree to be inserted upside down, and a stone monument that reads "Inverted Pine Branches."

This time in Kyushu and Fukuoka, in addition to cherry blossoms, you can also see a lot of kapok flowers. Both flowers bloom in March and April, with tender pink and white and gorgeous red. "When the kapok flowers are in full bloom, travelers will dream of spring."

Sit on the beach and daydream, find some beautiful shells to take away, feel lazy and sleepy in the sun, and play your favorite music for a while. Walking under the sacred tree with the shimenawa tied to it, this is the abode of the gods and also another area that protects mortals. Rush to the downtown area to drink and wander to deserted places.

Just follow your heart, that's what traveling alone is like, I like it very much. Space is a luxury.
