🎐 Walking through Fukuoka’s time – Fukuoka City Museum 🏛️🌿
When you need to take a slow breath during your trip,
If there’s a place where you can listen to the city’s story slowly,
I think it’s the Fukuoka City Museum.
Fukuoka is located at the western end of the Japanese archipelago,
and is the closest city to the Korean peninsula and the continent 🌏
Is that why?
They say that various cultures have come and gone here since long ago,
and changed people’s lives.
As you walk along the exhibition,
you feel that this city is not just a simple port city,
but a place that first accepted foreign cultures,
and faced new civilizations and threats,
and created its own life.
🎎 From the tools of the old people’s lives, to ancient weapons and accessories,
📜 to documents showing exchanges with foreign countries—
The moments when the past and the present meet in a space where time is piled up are truly impressive.
Also, the museum building is quiet and sophisticated,
so it's the perfect atmosphere to look around slowly and think.
It's a great space to be alone or with someone ☕🌿
🗺️ Traveling always goes by quickly,
but here, for a moment,
I felt like time had stopped.
This is a place I'd like to sincerely recommend to those who want to understand Fukuoka a little more deeply.
I'll take home another quiet and warm memory 🍃
