⛩️ Sumiyoshi Shrine, walking through the old silence

When walking through an unfamiliar city,
you come across a place where your heart becomes quiet at some point.

Fukuoka's Sumiyoshi Shrine was just such a place.

Just a little bit away from the complex city center

Time seems to pass slowly,
and even the wind feels gentle.

Sunlight seeping through the trees,

The sound of the prayer bell ringing softly,
and a single leaf fallen on the old stone path.

In front of the shrine building standing silently,
I felt something accumulated in my heart melt away.

Even to the footsteps of travelers staying for a short time,
This place approached me warmly.

A time to just walk, see, feel,
and be comforted without saying a word.
