strolling beneath Japan's cherry blossoms is definitely a highlight of any traveler. In this post, I want to showcase a snapshot of my time in Fukuoka during springtime.
Ohori Park: start at the Fukuoka Castle Ruins, then stroll around the central pond. there are food festivals all over the park, find a stall and sit near the pond to admire the serene view.
Nishi Park: exit Ohori Park towards the local streets of Tojinmachi. Wander around aimlessly, and you may find local artisan shops or a neighborhood cafe selling delicious coffee or snacks. Climb the steps to Nishi Park to enjoy panoramic views of the city.
Itoshima: take the jr line to Hatae station for a walk along Zubaiji River's cherry blossom tunnel. This obscure place is more than sightseeing; it's about connecting with a place where only locals know about.
