[Fukuoka/Hakata] Enjoy exquisite motsunabe in a luxurious space!

There are many motsunabe restaurants in Hakata, but if you're looking for a luxurious, yet reasonably priced, dining experience perfect for entertaining, then Hakata Motsunabe Oyama (Miyako Hotel Hakata Branch) is the place to go! This time, we visited on our way back from Fukuoka Airport, using the approximately one hour we had at Hakata Station before boarding the Shinkansen. Whenever we visit Oyama, we always order these two dishes. ✨️
We add other dishes depending on how hungry we are.
・Motsunabe (classic miso flavor)
・Tender beef vinegared offal

After ordering, the motsunabe arrived shortly after, and while we waited for it to simmer and be ready to eat, we savored the vinegared offal.

I used to dislike "sugomotsu" (grilled offal), but after trying it at Oyama, I've come to love it! 😊
Oyama's sugomotsu has absolutely no odor, and when paired with their special ponzu sauce and yuzu pepper, it's tender and delicious, so I highly recommend it to anyone who thinks it's a bad choice!

And the main dish, "motsunabe" (offal hotpot), comes in three flavors: miso, soy sauce, and mizutaki-style. If it's your first time, I recommend the miso version. (You won't regret it!)

The restaurant's interior is a dazzling, sophisticated space, centered around a large, round chandelier.

Private rooms are also available, so if you're not up for an open-air seating arrangement, you might want to consider one!

The restaurant is located about a three-minute walk from Hakata Station's Chikushi Exit. Even if you only have about an hour before your Shinkansen train, like us, there's a good chance you'll find a seat available if you arrive early in the evening, so give it a try!
