Maizuru Park, a green space in the heart of Fukuoka

Maizuru Park, located on the site of the Fukuoka Castle ruins in the heart of the city, is a lush and historic park steeped in the remains of an Edo-period castle.

🌸 If you're visiting during the cherry blossom season, don't miss this park, home to over 1,000 cherry trees. There's a cherry blossom festival during the day and a beautiful evening light-up. Fall foliage is especially spectacular, especially for the ginkgo and maple trees.

The park is open 24 hours a day and is free throughout the year, but during cherry blossom viewing and illumination, it's only open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Conveniently located near the Ohori Koen and Akasaka subway stations, it's a great place for strolling, picnicking, taking photos, and soaking up the natural atmosphere in Fukuoka's bustling city.
