Dongji Plaza (Fuyuan, Heilongjiang)

Dongji Plaza Scenic Area is located at the confluence of the Fuyuan Waterway and the Ussuri River, and is one of the key scenic spots in the tourist town of Heixiazi Island. The scenic area covers an area of 36,000 square meters, including the Estuary Square, Sun Pavilion, Gallery, Pole Marker, Huabiao, Waterside Pavilion, Boundary Marker, Four Poles Cultural Wall, Map of China, Entrance Cultural Stone, Tourist Boat Dock, White Marble Fence, and more.
Dongji Plaza is a landmark landscape at the easternmost end of China's mainland territory. The square, with its back to the motherland and facing the east, has a triangular river mouth sandbar shape like the sharp bow of a warship, cutting through the waves and dividing the Ussuri River into the main channel and the Fuyuan Waterway. With 'setting sail' as the overall landscape image, the 39.5-meter-tall Dongji Pole Marker sculpture serves as the mast, and the proudly raised estuary viewing square as the bow, symbolizing the giant ship of China setting sail towards the east. Fuyuan, the 'Easternmost of China', is the proud bow of this Chinese giant ship.
