One Island, Two Countries: Heixiazi Island

Heixiazi Island is not an island in the river, but a delta formed by alluvial deposits, with an area of about 335 square kilometers. Due to historical reasons, part of Heixiazi Island belongs to China, and part of it belongs to Russia. As part of the China-Russia border, Heixiazi Island has a special status in China-Russia relations, symbolizing the friendly exchanges between the two countries.

🗺️Route: Take the shuttle bus from the visitor center to the scenic area via Wusu Bridge, first visit the Russian military camp site and Heixiazi Island Wetland Park, then go to and visit Dongji Pagoda, and finally go to and visit Heixiazi Island Secret Bear Park, and return to the visitor center after the tour

🏠Russian military camp site: Consisting of the main building, garage, power house, boiler room, etc., it shows the life and work of the Soviet army
🌿Heixiazi Island Wetland Park: Walk along the boardwalk, see the lush water plants, watch the birds dance, and feel the rhythm of nature in the natural oxygen bar
🗼Dongji Pagoda: The square in front of the pagoda is magnificent, and the pagoda has 9 floors, where you can climb up to see the distant wetlands and Russian ships and cities
🐻Heixiazi Island Secret Bear Park: You can observe black bears up close, watch them swim, walk, sleep, etc. If you like, you can also pay to feed them at the viewing platform

【Tips】
🌟The scenic area is a border area, and drones are prohibited
🌟Currently, self-driving is not allowed, and you need to take the shuttle bus to the island
🌟You need to walk to visit Heixiazi Island Wetland Park, which is divided into a large loop (1,600 meters) and a small loop (900 meters). It is recommended to take the small loop, as the scenery is similar and saves energy
🌟You can take the stairs/elevator to Dongji Pagoda. Whether the elevator is open and the highest floor that can be visited depends on the arrangement of the scenic area
🌟The way to visit Heixiazi Island Secret Bear Park is to take the shuttle bus. It is recommended to sit in the first row, as the view is better. The bus will stop at the viewing platform, where you can get off to visit, and return to the original bus after the visit
🌟Most of the tours in the scenic area are outdoors, so remember to take sun protection measures
🌟There is a restaurant in the scenic area, with a buffet of CNY 30/person, located in Heixiazi Island Secret Bear Park, which you will pass by after the tour
