Xihu Park 🌺

We entered Xihu Park just as the sun began to warm the mist above the lake, turning the water into a canvas of light and reflection 🌤️💧🌿. Willow branches trailed like brushstrokes along the shore, and the soft rustle of leaves mixed with the distant creak of a rowboat gliding through lotus blooms. Elderly locals moved in slow unison, practicing tai chi beneath ancient trees, their calm breaths syncing with the rhythm of the morning. The air was cool, touched with the scent of damp earth and the gentle sweetness of flowers beginning to open.

As we wandered deeper, stone bridges arched gracefully over still water, leading to pavilions where musicians played quiet tunes on guzheng or erhu 🎶🏞️🪷. Children fed koi with wide-eyed wonder, and couples strolled hand in hand, speaking in low, easy voices. The city beyond faded into a distant hum, leaving only the rustle of bamboo, the flutter of birds, and the slow unfolding of the day. Xihu Park wasn’t just a retreat it was a gentle reminder to breathe, to notice, and to let beauty arrive without fanfare 🕊️🚶♂️🍃.
