🚗 Gangneung·Sokcho 1 night 2 days travelogue 🌊🌄

After a long time, I had a leisurely weekend, and went on a 1 night 2 days trip to Gangneung and Sokcho with my friends! 🧳 The first meal I had in Gangneung was Hyeongje Kalguksu 🍜. As the name suggests, it has a deep taste of rich anchovy broth, and the chewy noodles are delicious with a bite of kimchi! 🤤 I was very satisfied from the start of the trip.

After the meal, I took a light walk around Gyeongpodae and felt the sea breeze. 🌬️ I took pictures with the wide open sea in the background and enjoyed a cup of coffee at a cafe. ☕📸

In the afternoon, I went straight to Sokcho! 🚙 The travel time was about 1 hour. After unpacking at the accommodation, I headed to Ojingeo Nanjeon for dinner. 🦑 Crispy fried squid sundae and spicy squid bulgogi are really the best! The restaurant is always crowded, but the turnover is fast, so we got in right away. After eating our fill, we took a short walk along Sokcho Beach and enjoyed the night view. 🌃

The next morning, we had a quick breakfast of steamed buns and fried chicken at Sokcho Central Market, and boarded the long-awaited last course, Sokcho Eye 🎡! It was so moving to be able to take in the wide open East Sea and Seoraksan Mountain at a glance… ❤️ I was a little nervous because I have a fear of heights, but I felt really good about trying it.

A short but fulfilling 2 days and 1 night! 📍 Thanks to the perfect course from Hyeongje Kalguksu → Squid Pancake → Sokcho Eye, my body and mind were healed. Next time, I want to come with more time and climb Seoraksan Mountain. 🏞️
