**Gangneung** is a colorful city where the East Sea, literature, art, and festivals come together. We introduce a schedule full of fresh sea air and healing emotions.
📍 Day 1 – A day walking along the sea and culture
Take a walk early in the morning at Gyeongpo Beach and Gyeongpo Lake to greet the dawn. You can also ride a bike around Gyeongpo Lake or take a boat ride, and the quiet atmosphere of the lakeside is peaceful .
In the morning, visit Ojukheon to see the birthplaces and relics of Confucian scholars Yulgok Yi I and Shinsaimdang, and feel the charm of a traditional Hanok .
For lunch, whet your appetite with freshly made soft tofu dish at **the beautiful Chodang Sundubu Village** .
🚲 Day 1 Afternoon – Market, Sea, and the Scent of Coffee
In the afternoon, visit Gangneung Central Market to browse local food, snacks, and handmade souvenirs. .
Afterwards, enjoy a cafe tour and a cup of coffee while looking out at the sea at **Anmok Beach Coffee Street**, where you can experience both urban sentiment and healing. .
🌅 Day 1 Evening – Into Art
In the evening, head to Haslla Art World to explore installation art and galleries on the coastal cliffs, and take some emotional photos at sunset. .
🏞 Day 2 – Traces of Nature, Tradition, and History
On the second day, head to Jeongdongjin to enjoy a romantic morning while taking the beach train or watching the sunrise. This is a must-see photo spot for couples or photography enthusiasts. . Next, I recommend trekking along the forest paths of Daegwallyeong or Odaesan National Park, especially the Daegwallyeong birch forest and Odaesan fresh forest are healing spots all year round .
🍴 Day 2 Last – Night of Festivals and Delicious Food
If your schedule allows in the evening, experience a local festival such as the Gangneung Danoje Festival or Gangneung Coffee Festival. Traditional performances, street food, and atmosphere make for an unforgettable night .
