Historical Birthplace and Currency Connection

#hellohalloween
Ojukheon is a priceless historical site, renowned as the birthplace of Shin Saimdang (a revered artist and poet) and her son, Yulgok Yi I (one of Joseon's greatest Confucian scholars). This fact alone gives the grounds immense cultural weight, as both figures are featured on South Korea's 50,000-won and 5,000-won banknotes, respectively. The Admission Fee is nominal (around 3,000 KRW for adults), offering incredible historical value. Since it is a self-guided experience and tickets are purchased on-site, there is no need for advance booking (or discounts via Trip.com). It is recommended to spend about 1.5 to 2 hours here to fully absorb the weight of history and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
