Canola Flower Festival Fun in Samcheok, Gangwon-do

#summervacay Okay, so I didn’t hike a mountain this time, but I did walk around the dreamy fields at the Canola Flower Festival in Maengbang, and it was straight-up magical. Picture this: endless yellow canola flowers waving in the breeze with the ocean peeking out in the background. Unreal.

There’s a cute walking trail that loops around the fields, perfect for slow strolling, photo ops, and just vibing with nature. Everyone was out with their cameras and picnic mats, it had that happy, lazy-day energy. I grabbed a local coffee and just wandered with zero plans.

The smell of the flowers mixed with sea air? Surprisingly amazing. And the breeze off the coast made everything feel super fresh. It’s not your usual forest hike, but definitely counts as outdoor therapy.

If you’re in Gangwon-do during spring, don’t skip this! Come for the flowers, stay for the chill seaside vibes. And wear something yellow if you wanna match the field 😄
