[Dolphin] Yucheng Posthouse was a place in ancient times where people delivering official documents or officials on business trips could change horses or stay temporarily, that is, a post station.
The [Dolphin] Post Station was first built in the eighth year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty (1375). It was an important post station between Beijing and Nanjing in the Ming Dynasty. It is also the largest and best-preserved ancient amphibious post station in the country.
[Dolphin] Gaoyou City was named Gaoyou because Qin Shihuang built a high platform and set up a post office here. Alias: Qinyou and Yucheng. It is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province and is administered by Yangzhou City. This is the hometown of the famous writer Wang Zengqi and the Northern Song Dynasty writer Qin Shaoyou, and is famous for its salted duck eggs.
