Tried a Korean-Inspired Toast Shop & I’m Still Thinking About It
Dropped by a Korean-style toast place at Eco galleria recently and wow — didn’t expect toast to feel like a full-on meal. The vibe was super cozy with minimalist decor, a bit of K-cafe aesthetic going on, and the smell of grilled buttered bread was already a win when I walked in.
Here’s what I tried:
1. Ham & Cheese Toast
Classic combo, but done Korean-style — thick fluffy toast with slightly crispy edges, layered with melty cheese, savory ham, and a sweet mayo-ish sauce that tied everything together. It was simple, but hit all the right comfort food notes.
2. Egg Mayo Toast
This one was lighter but still rich — creamy egg salad with that signature Korean sweet-savory twist. It’s the kind of thing you think you can make at home, but somehow theirs just tastes better.
3. Combo Junk Platter with Homemade Tartar
This was a fun surprise — think Korean street food meets Western snack plate: fries, nuggets, and what tasted like battered fish bites. The tartar sauce was homemade and legit — tangy, creamy, and kind of addictive.
Overall, it’s the kind of spot I’d return to when I want something hearty but not too heavy. Plus, it’s perfect for those slow weekend brunches or catching up with a friend over comfort food.
