Background
Forest City Golf Hotel is a 5-star golf resort hotel located in Forest City, Pulau Satu, Gelang Patah, Johor Bahru.  It is part of the larger Forest City Golf Resort development, which includes two 18-hole championship golf courses (the Jack Nicklaus Legacy Course and the Liang Guokun Classic Course), a golf academy/driving range, and various leisure and conference facilities. 

The hotel itself has around 298–305 rooms and suites, including Superior / Deluxe rooms, suites, family-friendly options, and a few Presidential Suites.  The building is designed to serve golfers and non-golfers alike, with spacious layouts, modern amenities, balconies with views of golf courses or the greenery, and proximity to the courses. 

Why It’s Worth Visiting
• For Golf Lovers: The courses are world-class, beautifully maintained with challenging layouts but multiple tee options for different skill levels. The driving range and golf academy make it suitable even if you’re just looking to try golf. 
• Amenities: The hotel features a swimming pool (with separate children’s pool), fitness centre / gym, spa facilities, banquet & conference halls, a restaurant (“Tee-Off Restaurant”) with scenic views, and a pro golf shop. 
• Location & Access: It’s fairly close to Singapore (just across the Second Link or nearby) making it an accessible golf-resort escape for travellers from both Malaysia and Singapore. For non-golfing activities, there are also natural areas, walking trails, and relaxing resort-style surroundings. 

My Impression
Forest City Golf Hotel strikes a satisfying balance between luxury and laid-back resort pace. Waking up with views across rolling fairways, stepping out for golf or relaxing by the pool felt indulgent without being ostentatious. The rooms were comfortable, well-equipped, and the service attentive. What lingered most was the peacefulness—early mornings on the golf course, green landscapes, fresh air—and the contrast to city life. It’s the kind of place where you can fill your stay with activity or simply let the scenery do the work of rest.
