Chill and Chew at Chulia Street

Chulia Street Hawker is by far one of the most popular food stall streets in Penang. Any night that we walked by never failed to show how crowded it gets. They are famous on food blogs for their curry noodles, char kway teow and oyster omelette.

Just an FYI before going there. There will be a lot of stalls seemingly trying to get you tables. But be warned that some of these tables are dedicated to certain stalls only. To be sure, sit at tables that are along the food stalls and not under shelter.

Although not so famous, our favourite dishes from the night we went were the Mooping and Wanton Mee. The chef for the Wanton Mee (first pic) was so skilful with the way he mixed and stirred all the ingredients and sauces together with the noodles. It felt like he was actually whipping flavour into the noodles themselves.
