St. George's Anglican Church, located at 1 Huagai Street, Penang, was built in 1818 and is the oldest Anglican church in Southeast Asia. In 2007, it was listed as one of the 50 national heritage sites by the Malaysian government. This church incorporates Victorian architectural style and is an elegant British white church. The towering white spire and cross make the church look even more solemn. Other landmarks on Huagai Street, such as the Penang State Museum and Penang Church of the Assumption, are mainly white.
