St. George Church in George Town - Malaysia

St. George's Church is one of the main Christian shrines in Georgetown. Built in 1817 with the money of the East India Trading Company in Penang, it is still in operation. It is the oldest Anglican church in all of Southeast Asia.

This church has an interesting neoclassical facade resembling a Greek temple topped by a pointed tower upon which the cross dominates above the quaint green surroundings.

Visitors can get here only in the morning from 08:30 to 12:30 and in the afternoon from 13:30 to 16:30. Sunday open all day. Free entrance.
