Chaiya Mangalaram Thai Buddhist Temple - Malaysia

I stopped by on my way to Gurney Plaza. This was a weekday morning and very quiet with two other visitors and a group of monks.

The front of the temple had dragons and other statues out in front. They were brightly painted and glinted in the sun with their reflective tiles.

Shoes were required to be removed before entering the main temple. It was interesting to see a shoe thief warning posted by the shoe racks!

I have seen a number of reclining Buddhas but this was first one that I recall that was painted to resemble more of the human features with black hair, pink lips and flesh body tones. There were the expected candles and offerings (including fluorescent lamps) in front along with many sitting Buddha statues. Except wheee the staff were mopping the floors, we had full access to wander around inside and behind the reclining Buddha.

After finishing here I walked over to the Burmese Buddhist temple across the street.
