A visit to Penang, Malaysia is never complete without dropping by Chayamangkalaram Buddhist Temple, which is also known as The Reclining Buddha Temple. If you have been to Thailand, you sure have visited its reclining buddha as well. Penang’s reclining buddha is similar to that because this is indeed a Thai Buddhist temple. The buddha is golden or gold-plated and is about 33 meters in length. This is said to have long existed since 1845. Everyone is free to visit this place and you need not pay anything because admission is totally free. You can take the bus to get there or take whatever transport that’s available for you. I truly love this place and you can feel how solemn it is around.
