Located on a hill in a quiet residential area in Ginowan City,
[Kakazu Kodai Park]
A park marked by a globe-shaped observation deck.
Although it is a park, it was also a fierce battlefield during the Battle of Okinawa.
There are playground equipment in the park and it is a playground for local children in everyday life, but
war ruins, trenches, pillboxes (attack fortifications), etc. remain, so you can learn about Okinawa's history.
It is also a hidden gem where you can see the ocean and the Futenma base from the top of the observation deck.
The park is well maintained, and there are toilets and parking lots.
It is also famous as a cherry blossom spot.
The best time to see cherry blossoms in Okinawa is from late January to early February.
Kakazu Kodai Park is full of things to see.
Please visit it as a new tourist spot in Okinawa.
