#Haengjusanseong

☑️ Haengjusanseong is the historical site of the Battle of Haengju, one of the three major battles of the Imjin War in 1593 (Seonjo 26). Under the unwavering command of General Kwon Yul, 2,300 elite soldiers, monks, volunteers, and women defeated 30,000 Japanese soldiers. This is where the Haengju skirt originated, as even women fought by throwing stones on their aprons. It is a representative tourist attraction of Goyang City where you can feel the beautiful scenery and historical sites along the Han River.

☑️ If you keep walking, you will see Hongsalmun on the right. If you pass Hongsalmun and walk along the road, you will come across Chungjangsa Shrine, which houses the portrait of General Kwon Yul!

☑️ If you keep walking up the hill, you will come across a viewpoint where you can see Banghwadaegyo Bridge at a glance. You can see the night view of Gimpo and Seoul across the Han River at a glance.

☑️ Parking is free during night opening hours, and lantern rentals are also available.
