Grand Gaube Beach - A little slice of paradise on earth.

This is the main beach for the LUX Grand Gaub hotel (there is a second smaller beach that is available for adults only).

The beach staff here are excellent, very attentive, eager and friendly; these people work harder in one day than most people back home do in one week!

Drinks and food are quickly brought out to the guest, irrespective of how busy the staff are, and they will will find the time to come and clean your sunglasses at periodic intervals.

I simply do not know where they find the energy to do all that they do and still keep smiling!

As for the beach and the facilities available; the beach is swept daily and is kept tidy. The towels on the loungers are changed regularly, the loungers are in excellent condition and the canopies are likewise in excellent condition.

There are also showers available to wash off the sand and salt water if this is required although we did not use these.

The crew which handles the water activities are likewise very busy but still very friendly, helpful and offer a decent range of things for guests to do (i.e. the pedalo, wind surfing, surf boards, kayaks and so on). Sea excursions are also available; my partner and I went on the glass-bottom boat.

I would like to offer my appreciation to the fine gentlemen we affectionately referred to as "juice guy" and "sunglasses guy" and extend our gratitude for taking good care of us for the ten days that we were there and hope to see you both again in the near future.

This beach closest to heaven that a lot of us will see, especially when looking out at the beach and into the horizon.
