Grand Teton is smaller than Yosemite, but it was nice to be able to shorten the distance and focus on the main attractions at a leisurely pace. I didn't try to see too many places in one day. Instead, I planned to spend the morning at Jenny Lake, the afternoon at the Taggart or Bradley Lake trails, and the evening at the Snake River Lookout or nearby towns. This reduced fatigue and allowed me to savor each moment of the scenery.
On clear days, the reflections on the mountaintops and lake shores were crystal clear. On calm days, the tranquility was ideal. On slightly cloudy days, clouds drifting between the mountain peaks created a different atmosphere. These natural changes kept the trip enjoyable.
If you receive a travel grant, to fully enjoy these natural changes and the leisurely pace, it's a good idea to add extra time to your itinerary, prepare a rainy day plan, or a Plan B for cloudy days. Choosing slightly more luxurious gear and lodging will also enhance your trip experience.
