[Green Island] Snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns

Green Island is the most accessible leisure island in the Great Barrier Reef, located about 45 minutes by high-speed boat from Cairns. 🏝️

With its crystal-clear waters and expansive white sand, snorkeling and beach walks are a breeze, allowing for a truly tropical experience.
(Note: There are jellyfish 🪼 in some seasons, so be sure to ask your guide if you need a jacket.)

This time, I booked in advance through Trip.com.
The boat only runs four times a day. Boarding was smooth, and the complimentary drink was a great deal.
Breakfast was also available near the Reef Fleet Terminal.

If I needed to return on an earlier flight than I'd booked, I could easily change my ticket at the island information desk. Having the flexibility to adjust my stay was also convenient.

It's an easy day trip, so it's recommended for those staying in Cairns.
