Pipila Hill in Guanajuato, Mexico

Pipila Hill (Mirador Hacia El Pipila) offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the city of Guanajuato from its elevated location. We took the cable car up for an easy ascent and leisurely walked back down while enjoying the charming streetscape. Tickets can be purchased on-site, though there might be a short wait.

During the day, the colorful houses create a stunning view, while at night, the illuminated city sparkles like a treasure, offering two completely different yet equally mesmerizing atmospheres. We visited both during the day and at night to experience the contrasting beauty.

At the top, there are food stalls where you can enjoy local snacks like grilled corn while taking in the scenery—a delightful and authentic experience. Beyond sightseeing, it’s a chance to enjoy a casual snack break. Interestingly, we were approached by many locals for photos, as Japanese visitors seemed to be a rarity, making us feel like we were part of the attraction!

📍 Access: Just a few minutes by cable car from the center of Guanajuato. While it’s possible to hike up, using the cable car for at least one way is highly recommended!
