Chasing Waterfalls on the China Border

#chinatravel If you ever find yourself in Guangxi, Detian Waterfalls is an absolute must. It’s literally on the China Vietnam border and feels like something out of a fantasy movie. The waterfalls are massive, thundering down into turquoise pools surrounded by jungle and karst peaks. Total jaw drop moment.

You can hop on a bamboo raft that floats you super close, prepare to get misted, but it’s worth every splash. The sound is loud in the best way, and the whole vibe is peaceful but powerful. Kinda makes you forget about everything else for a bit.

The area is surprisingly chill, not packed with tourists like you'd expect. There are a few little food stalls and souvenir shops, but it doesn’t feel overdone. Just nature doing its thing.

Wear comfy shoes, bring water, maybe a poncho, and don’t forget your camera, everywhere you look is photo-worthy.

Totally recommend it for a laid-back adventure with insane views. Detian is Guangxi’s underrated gem, and I’d go again in a heartbeat.
