Preparation

● Documents: ID card, and any other discount certificates you might need (student ID, senior card, etc.).

● Clothing: Chaotian has a large temperature difference between day and night. Besides bringing seasonal clothes, it’s best to pack a light jacket. If you plan to visit the mountainous areas, comfortable hiking shoes are also necessary.

● Medicine: Common medicines such as cold medicine, stomach medicine, and motion sickness pills.

Transportation Guide

● External Transportation
    ○ Airplane: You can fly to Guangyuan Panlong Airport first, then take the airport shuttle bus or a taxi to Chaotian District, which takes about 1 hour.
    ○ Train: After arriving at Guangyuan Station, take a shuttle bus from Guangyuan Bus Station to Chaotian. There are many buses available, making it very convenient.

● Internal Transportation
    ○ Chaotian District is not large, and there is public transportation connecting the main attractions. For more freedom, you can rent a car to drive yourself🚗, and there are also shared bikes available locally for short-distance travel.

Mingyue Gorge Scenic Area🌟

● Features: Known as the "China Transportation History Museum," it combines six routes—waterway, cableway, plank road, post road, highway, and railway—within one gorge, making it a museum of ancient and modern Chinese transportation routes.

● Tour Route: Visitor Center - Plank Road - Old Chuan-Shan Highway - Guanyin Cliff - Tiger’s Mouth - Mingyue Gorge Ancient Plank Road Ruins.

● Duration: 3 - 4 hours

Zengjiashan Scenic Area🌳

Notes

● Some parts of the plank road in Mingyue Gorge Scenic Area are narrow, so be careful and follow the park rules while visiting.

● Zengjiashan Scenic Area is at a high altitude with strong UV rays, so take proper sun protection measures.

● Shuimogou Scenic Area has a good ecological environment but many mosquitoes, so remember to bring mosquito repellent.
