Seeking ancient charm among Buddhist chants and banyan trees

The quiet time in the ancient temple. In the morning, we came to Guangxiao Temple, the oldest Buddhist temple in Guangzhou. Passing through the heavy mountain gate, a thousand-year-old banyan tree comes into view, its branches winding and tangled, seeming to tell the vicissitudes of history. Inside the temple, the magnificent Dharma Hall, the ancient stone pagoda and the faint scent of sandalwood complement each other. The low sound of Buddhist chanting in your ears makes you feel an indescribable peace. During the guided tour, we learned that this was once a place where eminent monks gave lectures and that it had witnessed the rise and fall of history, which made us feel deeply moved. In the afternoon, we went to Liurong Temple to admire its majestic towers and gardens and savor the profound Buddhist culture.
