Guangzhou! A hotel you'll absolutely fall in love with – you'll regret not staying here

Marriott Yuexiu Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center

I chose the Marriott Yuexiu at Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center for this business trip, expecting just an ordinary business hotel, but ended up completely captivated!

📍 Prime location with peaceful surroundings
The hotel is in the heart of Baiyun New Town, just a 15-minute taxi ride from Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station and a 7-8 minute walk from Xiaogang Station on Metro Line 2, making it super convenient for catching high-speed trains or heading downtown. There’s plenty to explore nearby too—Yunmen NewPark Mall is just a 10-minute walk away, offering Cantonese cuisine and souvenirs all in one place. The Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area is also close by, perfect for an early morning hike to breathe in the fresh air before returning to the hotel to relax in the evening. Such a perfect rhythm!

🏋️ Stunning fitness facilities
The fitness center on the 5th floor made me ditch my lazy plans! Open 24/7, it’s fully equipped with ellipticals, dumbbells, treadmills, and more, plus floor-to-ceiling windows with city views that make workouts even more enjoyable. My favorite is the heated pool—crystal-clear water surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass walls. Floating by the edge and watching the clouds drift by feels like being in a movie. There’s also a sauna and steam room next to the pool, perfect for unwinding after a workout.

🛏️ A detail lover’s dream stay
The moment I arrived, the concierge warmly helped with my luggage, and I was greeted with welcome fruit at check-in—huge, sweet cherries that instantly won me over. I booked a Deluxe King Room with a minimalist yet luxurious vibe, featuring wireless charging by the bed (a lifesaver for someone glued to their phone). The bedding was plush, the mattress just right, and I fell asleep the second I hit the pillow. The bathroom had a separate wet area, and the bathtub came with bath salts and bath bombs. Soaking at night with music and city views was pure bliss.

💡 Insider tips

Don’t miss the freshly made wonton noodles at breakfast! The rich broth and bouncy shrimp-filled wontons are so good, I had them two days in a row without getting tired 🍜

The Chinese restaurant "Man Ho Heen" on the 2nd floor is perfect for hosting guests—their crispy-skinned, tender pigeon and sweet-but-not-cloying char siu are foolproof orders.

For weekend stays, book a few days early to snag better rates and rooms with better views.
