Hidden in the depths of Liwan, a timeless retreat | MEILIE Ling·Xiguan Homestay

When spring blossoms arrived, I visited Guangzhou and immersed myself in the stories of time at MEILIE Ling·Xiguan Homestay, nestled in the heart of thousand-year-old Liwan's vibrant atmosphere.

Tucked away at No. 159 and 161 Fengyuan Road, this was once the residence of Guangdong's warlord Chen Jitang. Having weathered a century of history, it now stands as a registered cultural relic in Guangzhou, showcasing the distinctive charm of arcade buildings. The sliding doors, Manchurian windows, and red bricks with blue tiles—every detail whispers the essence of old Guangzhou.

Stepping inside leisurely, a sense of relaxation washed over me. While preserving the original heritage features, the elegant soft furnishings dance like lively notes, composing a symphony of vintage and modern styles.
🍃 The outdoor garden and open-air terrace feel like hidden gems, blending the tranquility of Japanese landscaping with Cantonese flair.
🛏️ In the rooms: a minibar, Dyson hairdryer, and Marshall speakers reflect refined quality.
🕰️ Mornings begin with a fusion of Cantonese and Western breakfasts to awaken the senses; nights are soothed by authentic local late-night snacks.
🏠 With attentive butler service and fun travel photography experiences, time slows down here—every moment is worth savoring, as you lose yourself in the unique romance and warmth of Xiguan.
