Rainy day, coffee, and dessert—is there anything better? I recently checked out a fantastic new café in Sihai City (四海城), and the atmosphere (and the menu!) was simply perfect. It's the ideal spot for a relaxing afternoon with friends!
We ordered two coffees and two desserts, and every single item was a hit!
☕ The Unique Brews
• "Mountain Stone" (山石) ☕:
• This is a hidden gem on the menu! It's a special Litsea Cubeba (木姜子) Cold Brew.
• It was genuinely delicious! The coffee bean quality is superb—zero bitterness, slightly sweet, with a wonderfully crisp, clean taste, reminiscent of a clear mountain stream. Highly recommended!
• "Summer Night Grassland" (夏夜草地) 🍷:
• A visually stunning and tasty specialty drink: a grape-and-cold-brew blend.
• Served in a decanter with dry ice, the presentation is a huge ceremony! It makes for amazing photos and really elevates the experience. 📸
🍰 Dessert Heaven
• Pistachio Basque Cheesecake (开心果巴斯克) 🍮:
• A must-order for all pistachio lovers! Seriously, the Basque was incredibly smooth and silky—the spoon just glided through it.
• It was generously topped with crunchy pistachio bits, delivering an intensely rich and creamy flavor. So good!
• Asakusa Longjing Grape Chiffon Cake (浅草龙井青提戚风) 🍰:
• This cake is a breath of fresh air! You can truly taste the rich, aromatic Longjing tea flavor, making it super fresh and light.
• The chiffon cake itself was perfectly moist. Inside, it featured matcha jelly and crispy biscuit bits for texture, and it was topped with fresh green grapes. It’s sweet, milky, and has that lovely mix of tea aroma—totally not greasy!
