Guangzhou | Zengcheng Baishuizhai

Located in Zengcheng, a suburb of Guangzhou, Baishuizhai is known as the best area for breathing in negative ions.

The scenic area boasts numerous attractions, including Tian Nan First Ladder, Haichuan Wooden Walkway, Shuanglonghui, Waterfall Viewing Platforms, Muyun Pavilion, Xianyuan Park, Xiangu Heavenly Pool, and Qixian Lake Park.

Among these, my personal favorite is standing on each of the waterfall viewing platforms (there are four in total within the scenic area): the 1299-step platform, the 1499-step Waterfall Sound Platform, the 2199-step Close Waterfall Platform, and the 3299-step Bathing Waterfall Platform. Each offers unique views of the waterfalls. Notably, the Waterfall Viewing Platform features a turtle-shaped rock engraved with the words "Shen Gui You" (Divine Turtle Swimming), while the Waterfall Sound Platform is the best spot for breathing in negative ions. 🙈

If you're looking to breathe in some fresh air near Guangzhou, Zengcheng Baishuizhai is the perfect place to enjoy the freedom of negative ions. Just remember, beautiful things often require effort and perseverance. 🙈

With the hot weather, be sure to protect yourself from the sun and bring plenty of water.

Wear comfortable shoes, as the stairs are not as easy to walk on as flat ground. 🙈

Mosquitoes have been a bit of a problem lately. To prevent bites, wear light-colored, loose-fitting pants or jackets. You can also bring mosquito repellent.

1- Self-driving 🚗: Navigate directly to Zengcheng Baishuizhai.
Parking fee within the scenic area: ¥10 per vehicle.

2- Metro 🚇 + Bus 🚌 / Taxi 🚕:
🚇 Take Guangzhou Metro Line 14 to "Conghua Passenger Station," then transfer to a taxi (approximately ¥30 RMB, 30 minutes).
🚇 Take Guangzhou Metro Line 14 to "Conghua Passenger Station," then transfer to Conghua Bus Line 13 to "Baishuizhai Terminal," approximately 1-hour ride.
