Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou|Considered one of the best hotels in Guangzhou
🏘️Room Type/Layout:
The deluxe king room I stayed in was a good experience, with overall excellent room performance. The hotel is connected to Taikoo Hui, and the public area is relatively compact. Sometimes it gets crowded, but the layout is reasonable and does not affect the overall experience.
🛌Amenities/Facilities:
The hotel design is high-end, blending Lingnan style with dark tones, appearing understated yet luxurious. Although it has been open for over 10 years, it is very well maintained. The room amenities and hardware are top-notch, with both soft and hard facilities ranking in the first tier.
🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness:
No obvious issues. Considering the hotel’s high-end positioning, it is assumed that soundproofing and cleanliness are well maintained.
🍽️Dining Experience:
Personally, I find the breakfast and Chinese restaurant to be average. The breakfast offerings could be improved. The Chinese restaurant experience felt less impressive than Bing Sheng Pavilion, though many people think the Chinese restaurant tastes good, which may be due to personal taste differences.
💁Service Experience:
The service is arguably the best in Guangzhou. Even during peak guest flow, they provide high-quality service to every guest, which is especially commendable.
💰Average Cost:
Around 500+ per person, offering great value for money.
💗Other Tips:
- Location: Although not a traditionally prime location, the surrounding facilities are convenient. It is adjacent to Taikoo Hui, making shopping and errands very easy. However, compared to the Pearl River hotel cluster, the location is somewhat different.
- View: The view is relatively limited, with basically no Pearl River view. The floors are not high, and the city view is not prominent. However, many believe that if the MO were located by the Pearl River, it would definitely rank in the top tier.
- Overall Evaluation: Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou is a very top-tier hotel. Except for the view, all other aspects are excellent. It is definitely a high-quality choice after The Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons, worth experiencing.
