Stay at Chimelong! A magical experience of seeing giraffes right outside your window

As soon as I arrived near Chimelong Safari Park in Guangzhou, I was instantly captivated by the Southeast Asian style of Chimelong Hotel—the red-tiled pointed roofs hidden among lush greenery, the huge stone elephant sculptures at the entrance looking adorable, and even the faint scent of lemongrass in the air made me feel like I had instantly traveled to a tropical estate✨

During check-in, the animal-themed elements in the lobby were so touching! Colorful parrot-shaped chandeliers hung from the ceiling, the front desk backdrop featured a hand-painted animal migration map, and even the staff badges had little tiger patterns. The moment I got the room card, I was even more surprised—the cardholder was printed with the phrase "Living with Beasts," making me look forward to the stay~

Opening the guest room door, my eyes lit up instantly! The overall style was forest-themed and family-friendly, with light brown wooden furniture paired with green patterned bedding. Embroidered pictures of giraffes and little tigers hung above the bed, and even the pillows were animal-shaped, soft and super cute. The best part was the balcony! Moving a small chair there, I could look up and see giraffes strolling slowly in the distance, and occasionally little monkeys hopping on the branches. This "open window to see cute animals" experience was truly amazing📸

The room details were full of thoughtful touches! The wardrobe had children’s slippers and a small tent, and even the bathrobes came in parent-child sets embroidered with adorable little tigers; the bathroom sink was designed with different heights so kids could easily wash their hands. Before bedtime, the staff even brought hot milk and animal-shaped cookies, sweet to the heart~

At mealtime, you must visit the hotel’s White Tiger Buffet! Sitting by the window, you can enjoy delicious food while watching white tigers stroll by—truly a double delight. The freshly sliced salmon was fresh and fatty, the Cantonese shrimp dumplings had thin skins and plenty of filling, and there was a chocolate fountain loved by kids, perfect for dipping fruit skewers. After eating, you can feed the swans at the small pond by the restaurant entrance. The swans aren’t afraid of people at all and come close to peck at the food, which is super cute~

The next morning, you can take a walk on the hotel’s Animal Island. There are alpacas, miniature horses, and peacocks, and you can buy a pack of feed to interact with them. The alpacas’ fluffy heads nuzzling your hand are especially soothing; when peacocks see a crowd, they spread their colorful feathers to show off, which is stunning🌿

Staying here makes visiting Chimelong Safari Park super convenient, as the hotel has a dedicated shuttle that takes just minutes to the park entrance. After a tiring day, you can take a hot bath and then lie in a room where you can see animals, making all fatigue disappear. A hotel where you can get so close to adorable animals is perfect whether you’re traveling with kids or alone. Next time I come to Chimelong, I will definitely choose this place again!
