Xixiaolu | A small destination in Shaoxing, a living water village museum with a strong atmosphere of water village life

Xixiaolu is a treasure street in Shaoxing. It is located in the northwest of the ancient city of Shaoxing. It starts from Shengli West Road in the east and ends at Huancheng West Road in the west. It was first built in the Southern Song Dynasty and formed its current pattern in the Ming Dynasty. It is named because it is located on the west side of Shaoxing government office.

Here is the most complete "one river and one street" water town pattern preserved in Shaoxing. It is only 700 meters long and has not been over-commercialized. There are not many tourists. The surrounding area is a residential area with a strong atmosphere of life. It still retains the lifestyle and rhythm of the quaint Jiangnan water town.

Walking through the streets and alleys, you can see the smooth bluestone road, the clear river flowing slowly by the street, and the swaying small boats floating on the river, forming a picture of life with a strong Jiangnan water town atmosphere.
