The Big Buddha Temple in the heart of Guangzhou

Dafo Temple | Dafo Temple | 大佛寺 is an important Buddhist temple and one of the city's five great temples. Located in the heart of Guangzhou on Beijing Road, this temple is home to the Great Buddha, a thousand-year-old structure built during the Han Dynasty (917-971 AD).

On our visit at night, the temple was beautifully lit, both inside and outside. Upon entering, it was very peaceful, with shady trees. Despite the constant flow of people, it was never crowded. Most people come to pray for blessings for their studies, careers, and health.
