Watching my friend's life with kids... I admit I'm a bit jealous

Really, every morning at my house feels like a battle 😅
After dropping off the kids and going to work, my energy is almost completely drained by noon.
Last weekend, I went to Huijing New Town to have tea with my bestie,
and seeing her daily life, I finally understood what "someone else's neighborhood" means 😂
Her kid is in elementary school this year, right inside the community.
What I envy most is that she doesn’t have to do any pick-up or drop-off❗️❗️
📚 After school, the kids walk home in groups of three or five by themselves, and they can even take a stroll in the park or along the greenway on the way.
Plus, many foreign kids are in her kid’s class, and after school, they often meet on the big lawn downstairs to play soccer ⚽️
Their spoken English is so natural, way better than paying for English classes. This kind of immersive language environment is truly enviable.
🏫 There’s also a library in the community, and when we passed by, we saw several kids doing homework or reading there by themselves.
My bestie said she often "lets them roam" on weekends, letting the kids arrange to go to the library or sports center on their own, so she finally has time to do something for herself.
✨ She said after living here for a while, going outside feels noisy, but here it’s very quiet.
The clearest feeling after a day is that Huijing New Town is truly a paradise for kids.
I suddenly feel that choosing a community is really about choosing a lifestyle, a truly effective parenting model ☺️
