A cathedral in the middle of a modern city

It is quite incredible to see a building like the Sacred Heart Cathedral in the middle of Guangzhou, surrounded by normal buildings in a built up modern city it seems like this Church has been teleported out of europe and placed here. It is a spectacular cathedral exactly in the same style as many european cathedrals and it is in immaculate condition. The stained glass windows are very impressive and the inside is almost as impressive as the exterior.
The church is active and holds christian mass every morning, mostly in Cantonese but they also hold Mandarin, Korean and English mass once a week on weekends.

There was a wedding going on when we first arrived and they were taking group pictures outside so i wish all the best to the newlyweds in the picture.
