In Guangzhou? A visit to the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, 陈家祠, is a must. Dating originally to the late Qing Dynasty (though heavily restored in parts), the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall is one of the finest examples of Lingnan architecture and art. In addition to the building itself, richly ornamented with wood and stone carving and ceramic decorations, it is home to the Guangdong Folk Arts Museum, a small but excellently curated display of permanent and rotating exhibits including Chaozhou woodcarving, ceramics, ivory carving, embroidery, paper cutting and more.
This is a place I always bring visitors to Guangzhou.
