Landmark of Guiyang: Jiaxiu Tower

Jiaxiu Tower is an iconic structure in Guiyang City and a nationally important cultural heritage site. Surrounded by high-rise buildings, it serves as an urban oasis.
Built in 1598, this 20-meter-tall, three-story pavilion was constructed by Jiang Dongzhi, the governor of Guizhou at the time, who built a dam and erected the tower on top of it. The name 'Jiaxiu' signifies excellence in imperial examinations.
Crossing the bridge leads to Cuiwei Garden, which showcases the essence of temple architecture and classical gardens, as well as other attractions like Gongnan Pavilion and Longmen Academy.
