Ba Shang Ming Zhu - Guyuan

Guyuan County is under the jurisdiction of Zhangjiakou City, located in the northwest of Hebei Province in the Bashang area. It is situated in the transition zone from the Inner Mongolia Plateau to the North China Plain, with a total area of 3,654 square kilometers. It governs 14 townships, 233 administrative villages, and 14 communities, with a total population of 224,500. Guyuan County is the source of the Luan River, Hei River, and Bai River. It is an important water source and ecological function area for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, featuring the Shandian River National Wetland Park and the Hulu River Provincial Wetland Park. It boasts numerous picturesque natural landscapes such as the Grassland Sky Road, Ice Mountain Ridge, Swan Lake, Luan River Charm - Luan River Source, Bai River Source, Wuhua Meadow, Lao Zhanggou, Rooster Lake, and Flower Sea Town. It was also a summer resort and hunting ground for emperors of the Liao, Jin, and Yuan dynasties, with historical and cultural relics such as the Xiaohongcheng Ruins, Jiulianceng City Site, Shuzhuanglou Yuan Tomb, Zhangku Ancient Trade Route, and sections of the Great Wall from various dynasties. Among them, the Xiaohongcheng Ruins, Jiulianceng Ruins, and Shuzhuanglou Yuan Tomb are national key cultural relic protection units. This place is rich in historical and cultural landscapes and beautiful natural scenery, truly deserving the title of Ba Shang Ming Zhu.
