It was at this location that the young Hwarang soldiers were trained during the Silla Dynasty. In 1977, this palace was built under the leadership of President Park Chung Hee to commemorate the unification of the three kingdoms to create the Unified Silla era. Enshrined here are the three men responsible for unification: King Muyeol, King Munmu, and Gen. Kim Yusin. Their portraits are in the central building and there are many works of art along the perimeter of the complex. You can read the man stories of the leaders.
