Anaptji is the remains of a villa built during the Silla period.
Originally, a villa where the princes lived was located on the pond, but it fell into ruin and was called Anaptji because there were flocks of geese and ducks there.
However, it was recently discovered that it was the site of a palace, and the name was changed to Donggung and Wolji, which is what it was called at the time.
It is said that banquets were held here on special occasions and to entertain dignitaries.
It is a luxurious palace, and the pond was made to look like the sea.
No matter what angle you look at it, you cannot see the edge of the pond, giving the impression that you are looking at the sea, which can be said to be the pinnacle of Silla landscaping art.
At dusk, you can see a fantastic sight of the sunset and the illuminated Donggung Palace reflected in the pond.
It was so beautiful☆
