🌿 A Stroll Through Hwangridan-gil with My Child
Gyeongju often brings to mind its rich history and serene atmosphere, but this time, I decided to explore Hwangridan-gil with my child. This charming street, lined with cafes and shops nestled in the alleys of Hwangnam-dong, blends modern aesthetics with the ancient tombs nearby, making it a delightful place for a leisurely walk.
⸻
🚶 Walking Together
As we entered the beginning of Hwangridan-gil, my child exclaimed, "This place is so pretty!" with curiosity. The cafes housed in traditional tiled-roof buildings, the small paintings on the walls, and the colorful signs caught my child's attention. Every time we paused, my child would excitedly say, "Mom, look at this!" turning an ordinary stroll into a little adventure.
⸻
🍦 A Sweet Break
We stopped by a small dessert shop in the alley to buy my child’s favorite ice cream and took a short break. Sitting on a bench under the warm sunlight, my child enjoyed the sweet treat while I savored a cup of coffee, soaking in the moment. The view of Daereungwon’s tombs blending seamlessly into the scenery of Hwangridan-gil was truly memorable.
⸻
📸 Capturing Memories
As we walked along the street, we found many picturesque photo spots. Under the tiled roofs of traditional houses, in front of murals, we took photos together, laughing all the way. My child even said, "I want to come back here again!" showing how much they enjoyed the experience.
⸻
🌇 The End of the Stroll
Reaching the end of Hwangridan-gil, the street was bathed in the glow of the sunset. Holding my child’s hand, we walked slowly, wrapping up the day. It felt like more than just a simple walk—it was a precious time we shared together, leaving my heart warm and content.
